Jacobs Receives Contract from Porton for Multi-purpose GMP Manufacturing Facility in China	Popularity: Views: 1905

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from Porton Fine Chemicals Ltd (Porton), a leading China-based custom manufacturing organization. Jacobs, who earlier performed basic engineering services for this project, is expected to provide detailed engineering services for a new multi-purpose GMP manufacturing facility at Chongqing Changshou Chemical Industrial Park, located in Changshou District, Chongqing, China.

Officials did not disclose the contract value; however indicated the project detailed design will be performed from Jacobs' Singapore and Shanghai offices.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Christopher E. Nagel stated, "This is Jacobs' first major entry into China's pharmaceutical sector. We are delighted that Porton has entrusted us with this facility, and we are fully committed to delivering a plant that proficiently meets their needs."
