      Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from Porton Fine Chemicals Ltd (Porton), a leading China-based custom manufacturing organization. Jacobs, who earlier performed basic engineering services for this project, is expected to provide detailed engineering services for a new multi-purpose GMP manufacturing facility at Chongqing Changshou Chemical Industrial Park, located in Changshou District, Chongqing, China. <br><br>Officials did not disclose the contract value; however indicated the project detailed design will be performed from Jacobs' Singapore and Shanghai offices.<br><br>In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Christopher E. Nagel stated, "This is Jacobs' first major entry into China's pharmaceutical sector.
