Shoe lovers around the world will soon have the rare opportunity to bid on some of their favorite designer fashions while donating to an important cause. From Jan. 24-31 and Feb. 3-10, The Collections at WSA(TM) will host a special eBay auction to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF). The Collections at WSA is the premier luxury footwear, handbags and accessories show held twice-yearly in Las Vegas in concert with The WSA(TM) Show. The upcoming show will take place Feb. 1-4 at The Venetian Hotel & Resort.

More than 200 different pairs of shoes have been donated from leading international designers including Angeleigh Anastasio, Anne Klein New York, Bettye Muller, Constanca Basto, Detny by Shane & Shawn, Georgina Goodman, Harrys of London, Michael Kors, Missoni, Ralph Lauren, and Stuart Weitzman, to name a few. The auction will also feature men's shoes from A. Testoni, J Shoes, and Ralph Lauren, as well as handbags from Longchamp and Viva Bags of California. Retail values range from $85 - $700; the minimum starting bid for all items is $9.99 with no reserve.

"This auction is our way of honoring our exhibitors while helping OCRF to raise money and awareness to fight this silent killer," said Leslie Gallin, director of The Collections at WSA. "The styles we are offering are the best of the best -- the public could not have a better opportunity to purchase or a better cause to support than OCRF."

All of the proceeds from the winning eBay bids will be donated directly to OCRF to support ovarian cancer research. Those new to eBay can register easily at no charge and begin bidding immediately. The site is self-explanatory and simple to use.

"OCRF is thrilled to partner with The Collections at WSA and to be the charity beneficiary of this eBay auction," said Jamie Boris, co-executive director, OCRF. "We are so grateful for The Collections at WSA's dedication to our cause and our mission to eradicate ovarian cancer."

As part of its support for OCRF, The Collections at WSA designers will host a Feb. 3 benefit "Super Slippers" program in Las Vegas. The debut program features a silent auction of soft sculpture shoe-shaped "slippers" that are decorated, embellished and styled by leading footwear designers exhibiting at the show including such notables as Andre Assous, Beverly Feldman, Donald J. Pliner, Francesca Giobbi, Miss L Fire, and Shannon Britt, among others.

Founded in 1994, the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund is a non-profit organization devoted to the formulation of early diagnostic treatment programs and research towards the ultimate conquest of ovarian cancer.

As a "show-within-a-show" (held simultaneously with the twice-yearly WSA Show), The Collections at WSA is the largest and most prestigious luxury designer fashion footwear and accessories event in the world featuring more than 350 international designers. Each WSA Show attracts more than 36,000 participants from 95 countries including 1,600 exhibitors showcasing over 6,000 brands.
