Wacoal turned 2006 into a record-setting year for American women and the fight against breast cancer. Through continuing their landmark Fit for the Cure(R) event program, the luxury intimate apparel brand expertly fit a record number of women in the ideal bra, reaching their goal of $1 million in donations combined over the past six years.

For every woman who participated in one of Wacoal's hundreds of Fit for the Cure(R) events, receiving a complimentary fitting in a Wacoal or Donna Karan Intimates bra from a Wacoal fit specialist, Wacoal donated $2 to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for breast cancer research and outreach programs. Wacoal also donated $2 for every Wacoal and Donna Karan Intimates bra purchased at these events. There was no purchase necessary in order for a donation to be made. During the month of October as part of their "SUPPORT THE GIRLS" campaign, Wacoal also provided an additional $2 donation to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for each Wacoal Awareness bra or iBra purchased.

Wacoal has long been known as the ultimate expert on bra fit, and was thrilled to offer their expertise to women at no cost in honor of such a worthy cause. Wacoal's research has found that 80 percent of women are wearing the wrong size bra, and Wacoal is on a mission to help women find a better fit.

"Wacoal is passionate about helping women feel and look their best with the help of a well-fitting bra," explains Liz Smith, Wacoal's National Fit Expert. "Wacoal is a brand for women, and we are honored to provide this great service while also working toward the greater goal; helping The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation find a cure."

To date, Wacoal has conducted over 200,000 fittings, helping women across the country find the perfect fit while also helping researchers find the cure. The events were held nationwide at major retailers through December and will continue on for 2007.
