DirectoryM, the premier local online advertising network specializing in helping small-to mid-size businesses find local customers through targeted online advertising, today announced record online network growth and channel expansion during 2006. The DirectoryM advertising network brings together the buyers and sellers of local business solutions forming a powerful community of over 600,000 SMB businesses. The network experienced a 113 percent growth in traffic, 177 percent increase in clicks, and 101 percent increase in leads delivered.

DirectoryM expanded its channel by adding an additional three new worldwide publishing partners including Newsweek, FT.com, and TheStreet.com. These new partners increased the number of impressions promoting the Directory across the publisher network by more than 30 percent. DirectoryM's online advertising network now reaches more than 350 million consumers having an average household income of more than $110,000 monthly.

According to the Kelsey Group, local online advertising is currently a $4 billion market and is expected to grow to $10 billion by 2010, with much of that growth due to SMBs increasingly following their customers online and transitioning their ad spending from offline to online channels.

"Many local advertising solutions have not been able to effectively address the growing online advertising needs of the SMB market. By offering a portfolio of local advertising products designed specifically to address the needs of SMBs, DirectoryM is uniquely positioned to penetrate a large share of the SMB advertising wallet now coming online," said Blair Heavey, CEO of DirectoryM. "We have listened to the market through a number of channels including DirectoryM's Customer Advisory Council made up of local business owners, consumer surveys, and advertiser surveys and delivered best-of-breed SMB advertising products as a result of this feedback."

In addition, through the recent introduction of its Click eXchange (cost per click), Lead eXchange (cost per lead), and SEO Links (contextual links) products, DirectoryM extended its market leadership position to include an integrated set of local performance-based products all designed to meet the growing opportunity represented by the shift of SMB advertising dollars online.

In 2007, DirectoryM expects to continue to increase capabilities with a broad set of new SMB community-based products including vertical search and contextual advertising services.
