The Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts Welcomes Michel Escoffier to Austin

Austin, Texas - October 06, 2014 -- On October 16, the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts located at 6020-B Dillard Circle, will welcome special guest Michel Escoffier to Austin. Michel is a distinguished member of the school’s advisory board, the great-grandson of Master Chef Auguste Escoffier and the President of the Escoffier Museum and Foundation in Villanueve-Loubet, France.

In addition to spending valuable time with students and staff, Mr. Escoffier will oversee the induction of local professionals into the prestigious Disciples d’Escoffier. Inductees include State Representative Eddie Rodriguez, Chair of the Texas Farm to Table Caucus; Chef David Bull of La Corsha Hospitality Group; Mr. Harlan Scott of Parkside Projects; Ms. Bekki Callaway of Skinny Lane Farm; and Ms. Carla Williams of the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. With more than 20,000 members worldwide, the Disciples d’Escoffier is a premier International culinary society established to maintain the good name and honor the memory of Auguste Escoffier. The organization preserves Escoffier’s work and promotes culinary education and apprenticeships encouraging young people to discover the desire and motivation to work as professional chefs.
