National Football League Sanctioned Event: The 8th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration Announces Sam's Club as Title Sponsor

National Football League (NFL) Sanctioned Event - The 8th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration (SBGC) announced that Sam's Club has signed on for a 2nd year as title sponsor of this popular music event for Super Bowl XLI Weekend during a press conference today attended by NFL Players (Current and Retired), Sam's Club & NFL Corporate Executives and Gospel Artists.

Sam's Club returns as title sponsor while SBGC brings a Sensational Evening of Inspirational Music, and messages from award-winning artists, NFL players and surprise guests to help kick off Super Bowl XLI Weekend at Miami's James L. Knight auditorium on Friday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m.

"We are proud to have Sam's Club join us for a 2nd year as presenting sponsor," said Melanie Few, President of Results Inc. and concert producer. "This show will again be a true highlight of Super Bowl weekend. The audience will be wowed!"

SBGC is the first and only gospel event to ever be sanctioned by the NFL and the largest multi-cultural event that takes place during Super Bowl Weekend.

"This is a great event and we are excited about our participation again this year," said Mark Goodman, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Membership and E-Commerce at Sam's Club.

"We look forward to joining football fans nationwide at the Super Bowl, supporting the local community and celebrating gospel's history and stars."

Sam's Club Florida executives Toni Judy and Wilfred St. Louis and Kimberly Fields of the NFL participated in the press conference at the Westin Diplomat Hotel in Broward County. The show lineup was also announced. Scheduled to perform are: Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Dr. Bobby Jones, J Moss, Jaci Velasquez and Hezekiah Walker. Two additional artists will be announced at a later date. In addition to Jim Brown, NFL current and former players in attendance were: Shawn Wooden, Troy Drayton and Bennie Anderson of the Miami Dolphins and retired players Grantis Bell, Donnell Bennett, and Rick Smith.

SBGC has featured a star-studded line up of award-winning singers such as Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, The Winans, Mary Mary, and many other renowned acts.

Each year, the musical artists are joined by a plethora of NFL players who share inspirational messages. The roster of NFL greats that have supported SBGC include Cris Carter, Curtis Martin, Kurt Warner, Troy Vincent, Richard Seymour, Antwaan Randle El, Ray Lewis and Deion Sanders to name a few. These football legends and numerous others have given their time to support SBGC.
