A recent online pr report, which looked into women and online branding, found that more than 75 per cent of females are not enticed by online advertising on social networking sites.

The results from an ad:tech and Q Interactive study - Women & Brands Online: 'The Digital Disconnect' Emerges -found that many women are actively using sites such as Facebook and MySpace but are not influenced by branding efforts proving that online pr needs to take a different direction.

The advertising campaigns published by businesses on the World Wide Web attempt to sell products to millions of customers who are generally not interested in the product.

With so much information on the Internet, users know that if they want a product they can go out there and look for it on the Internet and don't need banners and advertisements shoved in their faces when they weren't looking for it in the first place.

And that is where companies like Custard Media come in. Custard Media are an online pr company that specialise in natural search engine optimisation via giants such as Google, Yahoo etc. Their service extend to link building, content writing, promotional videos, viral marketing, branding and pay per click, ensuring you get that number one Google spot above all of your competitors.

Rachael Niklas, Online PR Writer at Custard Media, said, "The Internet is so vast and if used in the correct way can dramatically increase the positioning of a company's website.

"Many think that placing advertisements or viral emails will attract people to their site, when instead it annoys users and they end up deleting their account with you or blocking any advertisements from you to their computer.

"The best way to attract people to your site is through natural search terms. If you use a company like Custard Media we can create strong back links to your site as well as write good quality press releases and linkbait articles to get you to that number one Google spot.

"Many people don't venture past page one of Google, so it would be a good idea to get to number one and fast to reap the benefits of online shopping."
