Have you tried several times and given up? Learning a foreign language can be a daunting task. Students often say they feel "embarrassed" when speaking in a foreign language.
Lingua Diversa Group (121 Kingsway, London WC2B 6PA) is a language school whose tutors understand the difficulties students encounter when studying a language and use every teaching techniques and activities to enhance their confidence.
The school was formed in 2002 by two language teachers, Esther Sahagun and Lucio Daniele, who until then had enjoyed an extensive and fulfilling time in teaching Spanish and Italian to both adults and children.
Esther Sahagun has acted as a language consultant for the BBC on various occasions. More recently she was part of the team that devised the latest Spanish online beginners course 'Mi Vida Loca', which received a BAFTA award (interactive innovation category) in May 2009. She says, 'Having been part of such an innovative project from the very beginning until the very end plus getting a part as the teacher friend of Merche, who is the main character of the story, has been a wonderful experience.' Part of the story has been filmed in Medina de Rioseco (Castilla y Leon) where the above mentioned weekend course takes place.

Since the first course in 2002, LDG has recorded a steady growth and in 2005 Esther and Lucio moved into their current offices in Holborn.
Now, 4 years later, LDG has more than 120 students at any one time spread across 30 courses in Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, English, Japanese and Chinese.
Group courses are deliberately kept small (max. 6 students) and usually take place either in the evening (6pm or 7.30pm start) or at lunchtime. Individual lessons on the other hand are flexible and can take place anytime between 8am to 8pm.
Esther and Lucio have a group of dedicated qualified native teachers, who have worked for LDG and in London for many years. All tutors follow the communicative method ensuring for the right mix of activities (listening and reading comprehension, grammar and conversation) using latest technology. Esther and Lucio both work closely with their tutors and provide individual guidance and support.

LDG is the preferred language course supplier for numerous London-based companies from any industry sector. These lessons take place at the clients' premises at a time that best suits them. Prior to commencement of a course the student's language level is assessed in order to devise a tailor-made course programme, and at the end of a course students receive a written course report from their teacher.

In order to allow their Spanish students (and friends) to practice their communication skills in their free time Esther and Lucio organise a free monthly event in a pub. Just come along, meet with other Spanish enthusiasts, have a drink and speak Spanish! This event is suitable for everyone who has a minimum of pre-intermediate Spanish. These events are a perfect way to practise Spanish in a real-life situation and improve conversational fluency with like-minded people. It is totally free and on average the event is attended by 15 - 20 people.

If you are looking for a language course in either Spain or Italy, LDG offers Weekend and week courses (or longer periods) in the beautiful region of Castilla y Leon and in Southern Italy, in the surrounding areas of Naples. All-inclusive packages, i.e. accommodation, airport transfers, guided tours, languages lessons, are available. A perfect way to combine language lessons whilst being on holiday.
