The original brief from the client was to come up with a modern tie and scarf design to reflect the new Brand image of the merged international cargo handling company.
After submitting various "rough" ideas a design was finalised and samples were then submitted. These consisted of polyester woven clip-on and full ties, and ladies headsquares, printed polyester and printed silk. In addition to these, we also had to submit ideas for the Supervisory staff and these were then also sampled. The order when placed consisted of 500 clip-on ties, 500 full ties, 500 polyester scarves and 500 pure silk scarves. 150 ties and 150 scarves were also supplied for the Supervisors. All very simple, except the first tentative ideas were not discussed until the middle of February and the launch of the new image and uniform was scheduled for the 1st of April! Needless to say, everything was approved and delivered on the 30th March, six weeks from concept to the rollout!
