"T-Bear," Mookie," and Chuga," the cuddly characters featured in the innovative "Traveling Bear(TM)" children's books series, charmed some new, older fans at the recent Creative Child Magazine panel, receiving their prestigious "2008 Preferred Choice Award."

Selected by a panel featuring over 50 mothers, child educators and experts at the Henderson Convention Center in Nevada, the 14-book series, created by Christian Hainsworth, president of Winning Kids, Inc. was honored in the "storybooks with character category."

"I am honored to receive this award. There is an enormous need in education to focus on character building and instilling values in children," said Hainsworth. "Having our products recognized as a leading resource and tool for achieving this is thrilling."

Aimed at children ages 3-8, the Traveling Bear (TM) book series is designed to promote character building, instill positive values, winning attitudes, leadership and self confidence through entertainment.

Hainsworth initiated the project as he recognized the need for materials that build positive character in children. "I realized there was a lack of material in this area," he said. "I also wanted to enhance reading abilities while providing enjoyment which is very important." Launched in December 2007 in New York City, the series comes with read-along audio/visual CD / DVDs and can be ordered online at http://www.travelingbear.com

Each monthly book and CD comes with a letter from Traveling Bear in an exciting full color Traveling Bear Express envelope, and each book ends with a fun sing-along! "The audio CD is designed to build strong reading skills in a fun and easy way," stated Hainsworth. (Each book is $14.94 plus shipping and handling.)
