Elekta, a world-class leader in advanced radiation therapy and radiosurgery, has created a three-dimensional virtual patient clinic, enabling clinicians, patients and the general public a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with Elekta's products* and solutions and how they interconnect to fight serious disease.

The clinic, available via http://www.elekta.com/evc , allows the user to follow a patient undergoing a typical lung treatment, from the initial consultation and diagnosis, through treatment planning, radiation delivery and follow-up.

Inside the clinic, it also is possible to 'fly over' and 'zoom in' to discover additional information about specific treatment tools, like MOSAIQ(R), Elekta's image-integrated Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Leksell Gamma Knife(R) Perfexion(TM), Elekta's non-invasive alternative to traditional open-brain surgery and daily radiation for brain tumors and other brain disorders.

In addition, further functionality and content, including a focus on Elekta's latest groundbreaking technology, Elekta VMAT, are planned and will be incorporated in a future release. To view the Elekta Virtual Clinic, visit: http://www.elekta.com/evc .
