Global Sources (Nasdaq: GSOL) ( http://www.globalsources.com ) will hold the first China Sourcing Fair: Baby & Children's Products at the AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong from April 20-23. The Fair will feature over 130 booths from mainland China and Hong Kong, as well as a pavilion from Taiwan. It is the only show of its kind in Hong Kong.

The Fair is co-located with the successful China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products which has over 3,200 booths from 18 countries and regions, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Germany, Israel, Japan, UK, France, Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh and the U.S.

To meet growing global demand for baby and children's products, four China Sourcing Fairs: Baby & Children's Products events are scheduled in 2008:

April 20-23 AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong

June 30-July 2 Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Centre, Guangzhou (new)

Oct. 20-23 AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong (new)

Dec. 3-5 Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Shanghai

Global Sources' Executive Director, Sarah Benecke, said: "Our China Sourcing Fairs: Baby & Children's Products are the only specialized shows of their kind in Hong Kong that satisfy the huge demand from buyers looking to find their entire product range under one roof. The global market for babywear alone was US$25 billion in 2006.

"We've been offering baby and children's products at our Gifts & Home Products event for four years now. The first specialized Fair in Shanghai in December 2007 attracted over 5,400 buyers. We are now set to expand the show to other major sourcing centers to connect even more buyers with quality suppliers.

"Hong Kong is long established as the Asian hub for international buyers and remains a crucial sourcing location. The Shanghai show was popular with domestic buyers from eastern China, while the new event in Guangzhou is positioned to attract domestic buyers based in southern China. Both regions are also home to hundreds of international buying offices."
