The award winning Shaw High School Marching Band, one of only five bands in the U.S. to be invited to participate in the Beijing 2008 Olympic International Music Festival and their inspirational band director Donshon Wilson were recently profiled on NBC Nightly News in their "Making a Difference" segment.

The Shaw High School Marching Band, from East Cleveland Ohio has won over 150 band competitions nationally. But this program is about more than music. The Shaw Marching Band members are also excellent students. 90% of the Band members are on Merit/Honor Roll, the last 4 Valedictorians of the senior class have been Band members and 99% of the Band members go on to college. In this day and age, these are remarkable numbers.

The Shaw High School Marching Band will be traveling to China from June 19th through June 30th, participating in the International Olympic Massed Band Performance in Beijing on June 28th.
