Alcatel-Lucent to Hold a Web Press Conference to Announce a New Technology Pioneered by the Bell Labs and Commercialised by Alcatel-Lucent Ventures

Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext and NYSE: ALU) will hold a Web press conference on Monday, March 10th to launch a unique new technology for broadband wireless providers which addresses a major challenge that carriers are facing as they increase their deployment and support of data applications and devices over their wireless networks.

This technology webcast will take place on March 10, 2008, at 3PM Paris time (10AM EDT(1)) and will be hosted by Wim Sweldens, head of Bell Labs' Alcatel-Lucent Ventures. Joining him will be Mike Schabel, the General Manager of this product who will speak about the technology and the market needs and opportunities it addresses. Also participating will be a major wireless carrier that is trailing this technology in their live commercial network today.
