ArvinMeritor, Inc.'s (NYSE: ARM) Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) business group announced today that its Emissions Technologies business received Volkswagen Group's Excellence Award in 2006 for Quality. Specifically, ArvinMeritor's manufacturing facility in Pamplona, Spain, and two Customer Value Centers (CVCs) in Martorell, Spain, and Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic, are recipients of the Excellence Award.

The award distinguishes ArvinMeritor as one of only three Volkswagen suppliers globally to achieve this distinction in 2006.

"To win a prestigious Volkswagen Group Excellence Award is certainly a remarkable accomplishment," said Michael Bleidt, vice president and general manager of LVS Emissions Technologies for ArvinMeritor. "It speaks to the dedication of our 300 employees in Pamplona, Martorell and Mlada Boleslav, who deliver the highest quality and value to our customers every day."

ArvinMeritor CVCs deliver products that are line-sequenced to the automaker's production level.
