Previously available only to guests of Verana, the boutique "handmade hotel" located about 45 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta, Casa Sin Tiempo, opens its doors on November 1 for the first time to the general public.

"Now we want to offer it to everybody else." "Casa Sin Tiempo is a wonderful place for a quiet and relaxed stay in the old part of town," adds co-owner Veronique Lievre. "Our guests can live like locals, in contrast to any of the numerous mega-resorts in the city. Close by are the city's best art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs and places to shop." Casa Sin Tiempo is located in Gringo Gulch, one of Puerto Vallarta's historic residential neighborhoods, right next to Casa Kimberly, Elizabeth Taylor's former home. The house was built by famous local architects Wulff and Favela and boasts the charming white stucco colonial architecture typical of the area. It has been simply tricked out with rustic luxe design details. An ornate wooden door beckons you inside where there are 2 apartments, each offering a king-sized bedroom and en suite bathroom. Casa Sin Tiempo's personal chef is on hand to prepare guests breakfast and dinner. He's also primed to give guests private cooking classes, which includes a shopping trip to the local markets. Upstairs visitors can relax in an expansive living room and dining area, or stretch out on the private terrace that offers panoramic views of the city, Pacific Ocean and Sierra Madre Mountains. Casa Sin Tiempo is a delightful contrast to the bustling cosmopolitan beach resort of Puerto Vallarta, and is like a little glimpse of what the town used to be like decades ago.
