The number of organizations it takes to complete a clinical trial is overwhelming: from investigative sites, sponsors and institutional review boards to site management organizations, clinical relationship management is often a taxing pursuit for clinical trial professionals. Clinical Conductor Network Manager from Bio-Optronics aims to change this by making clinical relationship management manageable again.

Clinical Conductor Network Manager, with editions for Sites and Alliances (TMOs, SMOs and Research Alliances), is a CRM solution which includes automated task reminders to ensure proactive maintenance of important clinical relationships. Users can also create call, email and direct mailing lists of partners, vendors and customers, use the action manager to schedule actions and track clinical relationship histories, view the complete study pipeline, and perform site-matching to match sites with trials.

Bio-Optronics' other solution for clinical researchers, Clinical Conductor, is a Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) which was launched in January 2007. Since its launch, the company and solution have found a loyal customer base in the investigative site market. Sites currently using Clinical Conductor CTMS can opt to use Network Manager as an integrated module of the CTMS. Sites using other methods to manage their clinical trials can also take advantage of the benefits of Network Manager by implementing it as a standalone solution.

In addition to introducing Network Manager, Bio-Optronics recently released Version 1.1 of Clinical Conductor CTMS, which includes a web recruitment module to enable sites to recruit patients from their own websites and create call lists from the submissions they receive. The new QuickBooks module enables integration between the two applications for patient stipends, travel reimbursement, sponsor invoices and payments, and provider, lab and vendor reimbursement.

Both Clinical Conductor Network Manager and Clinical Conductor CTMS will be on display at two conferences this fall: the Society of Clinical Research Associates Annual Conference in Denver, CO, September 27 -30 (Booth #11) and the Society of Research Administrators Annual Conference in Nashville, TN, October 13 - 17 (Booth # 31).
