Silver Spoon Salad Company is voluntarily recalling all potato salad sold prior to July 5, 2006 at Shaw's Supermarkets in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont as well as Star Markets in Massachusetts. The product is being recalled because pieces of plastic were found in the salad. The product was sold at the deli counter and in prepackaged containers under the Silver Spoon and Shaw's Supermarkets labels.

Potato salad varieties sold at the deli include: Red Dill, Potato/Onion, Home-style, Egg/Potato, German, and Red Bliss.

Pre-packaged 3 pound containers sold under the Silver Spoon label have the UPC Code: 30771 04591.

Pre-packaged 1 pound containers sold under the Shaw's Supermarkets label have the following UPC codes:
