Flickerstick, who over the last five years has become most known for their victory on the VH1 emmy-nominated television series, "VH1 Bands on the Run", will be touring for a full month across the country, in support of their new live album, "Live From Atlanta." The record will hit stores nationally on April 3rd and is already available for pre-order through most of the major online CD chains.

"Live From Atlanta" was named as a result of a two-day, fan-invite recording weekend back in September 2006 at Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta, GA. Tree Sound has been the recording home for artists such as Elton John, Sevendust, Maroon5, Outkast, Usher, and many more over the last few years. For the Flickerstick event, 150 fans joined the band each night in a live recording room at the studio, and celebrated being part of the band's live, special taping sessions. Unlike most live records, Flickerstick didn't want to rehash all of their "greatest hits," so the record actually features six, brand new songs that had never been recorded before. It's part of what makes their new album most appealing; as fans will get their newest songs in a live format. But, the album also features a special, studio track called, "Helicopter," (Track 12 on the album, which was also released as a single to radio nationwide) and some of the band's former radio hits like Smile, Beautiful, and Coke. Fans also will get three, enhanced videos edited down from the recording shows in September. "Our Fans who attended will be able to see their faces in the crowd on this album," says Brandin Lea, lead singer for Flickerstick. The three videos can be viewed on any computer (CD-Rom), which ironically makes it more attractive to buy the album versus downloading it online or through various "file sharing services." The record was engineered by industry veteran, Shawn Grove, who has helped to produce bands such as Sevendust, Collective Soul, Edwin McCain, and many more.

The mischievous masterminds of this five-piece rock explosion have yet to experience a dull moment in their fledging music dynasty. From a young Dallas band to VH1 TV stardom with a recording deal and national radio singles, their intense touring, raucous records and constant promotion still haven't cooled their heels as the "band on the run" gracefully pairs sonic excitement and DIY-ethics over cigarettes and spilled beer. Flickerstick will use their twenty-seven date, 2007 "Live From Atlanta" CD Release Tour to continue to test some of their newest material (even songs that are newer than the live album), as well as playing songs off their live record. Fans can expect to also hear their favorite hits from past years including, "Beautiful," "Chloroform," "Coke," "Bleeding," and many more.
