Entitled 'The Highs and Lows of Temping', the book is a painfully honest account of the author's three years of temping for a variety of employers. She gives us a unique behind-the-scenes glimpse of the pettiness, spiteful bullying and poisonous office politics which is part of everyday life for many temps and against which they have little defence. Vicky believes that mounting market pressures as well as ignorance and insensitivity are causing employers to exploit temps and treat them like second class citizens, as never before.
