Technical Foam Services Launches New Range of Polyethylene Foams

Northamptonshire, United Kingdom (8th September, 2011) – Technical Foam Services, a leading independent engineering-based manufacturer and foam producer, is pleased to present a new range of pastel-coloured closed cell polyethylene foams.
Traditionally only primary coloured PE foams have been readily available, but with the increasing demand for polyethylene foams for new products, Product Designers have been interested in having access to alternative colours.
Technical Foam Services now stock pale colours such as lilac, pink and sunrise yellow, all of which can be processed by their existing foam conversion techniques such as die-cutting, water-jet cutting, thermo-forming, heat-laminating and routing.
They have already secured new business with a global manufacturer of DIY tools, who had previously used standard grey polyurethane foam but wanted to enhance the aesthetic appearance of their foam inserts.
“This new range of polyethylene foams, which are EVA based, will really appeal to creative designers working in the promotional market, as it gives them the opportunity to create wonderful 3D shapes using closed cell foam,” commented Duncan Geddes, Joint Managing Director of Technical Foam Services. “They can be used externally for long periods of time, and be manufactured at relatively low cost in comparison to plastic materials, so we are sure the latest pastel-coloured additions to our collection will be in high demand.”
