McCartney-Mills and Other Celebrity Divorces Spotlight The Growing Pandemic Of Relationship Problems Worldwide

In a radio interview on the subject of celebrity divorce, self-help author Russell Friedman suggested that every citizen of the US and Britain send a copy of their new book, Moving On – Dump Your Relationship Baggage and Make room for the Love of Your Life, to at least one of the four combatants in the McCartney-Mills, Evans-Schelske debacles.

I don't know any of the four of them personally, so I have no comment. But I honestly hope that each of them does have access to our book – or any other legitimate resource - for dealing with the loss of the hopes, dreams and expectations they each had for their life with their partner, and the loss of trust that goes along with every romantic ending.
Although his comments were made in jest, the topic of divorce and romantic breakup is clearly one of the biggest issues in modern life. The 50+% divorce rate represents only a small fraction of the committed relationships that crash and burn before they even make it down the aisle. The heartbreak is no less in those breakups than in an actual divorce.

Commenting on the couples in the news, Friedman said, "Celebrity break-ups capture the public's attention much like auto wrecks, everybody wants to stop and gawk. Only the money and the fame distinguish their struggles from ours. What's most important is how will each of the four of them will deal with the emotional baggage created by the ending of the relationship that they hoped would go on into the happily ever after."
