About Jeff Gold, Georgia Nature Center Founder:

Jeff Gold is a scientist and entrepreneur. In recent years Gold has led World Environmental Organization's efforts to protect the environment. The nature preserve land, nature center and Next Generation Home have been largely funded by income Gold earned from several websites he started during the 90's. Gold founded the entertainment portal Go.com in 1997, and within a few years it grew into a network with over 1 million users and nearly 3,000 affiliated radio stations, TV stations, newspapers and magazines. After being popularized by Gold, The Walt Disney Company acquired the Go.com brand and transformed it into its own entertainment portal. Gold drives a Toyota Prius hybrid which regularly gets 60 mpg, and lives in the modestly sized 1000-square foot solar-powered "Next Generation Home" located at Georgia Nature Center.
