Rugged Wearhouse Richmond Broad Street Store to Relocate to New Shopping Center to Accommodate Larger Prototype Store

Rugged Wearhouse is relocating its Broad Street store just down the street from the Circuit City Shopping Center at 9990 West Broad St. with a larger store that can accommodate expanded merchandise offerings for its Richmond area customers. Rugged Wearhouse, an affiliate company of Gabriel Brothers' retail chain, has a strong presence in the Richmond market with two other locations in Chesterfield and Colonial Heights and 12 locations throughout the state.

The relocation is part of Rugged Wearhouse's growth strategy to focus its efforts on building larger more convenient prototype stores. The new Richmond location on West Broad Street, slated for a grand opening this fall, will carry the brand name merchandise at low prices that Rugged is known for, including Juniors, Missy, Lingerie, Men's, Kid's, Shoes, and Accessories.

"We are very excited about our business strategy and recently completed a modernization, refixturing, and remerchandising of the entire chain."

Gabriel Brothers operates 102 stores through its Gabriel Brothers and Rugged Wearhouse chains in 11 states, employing 3,200 associates. Three distribution centers service the retail stores.
