Universal Global Launches UNS Infotainment, a next generation, after-market In-Vehicle personal Computing System

Universal Global Corp., an innovative Information Technology solutions provider, announces the release of a next generation, after market, no data CDs required in-vehicle personal computing system featuring Audio, Video, Navigation, and Communication components. The UNS Infotainment (TM) product was developed by UNS Labs (Universal Systems), a Division of Universal Global Corp, OR, USA and "will change the way you navigate in your world" according to George Pavlopoulos, President & CEO of Universal Global Corp.

The revolutionary UNS Navi engine calculates vehicle position in real time to provide lane level accuracy relative to the underlying map image thereby eliminating the vehicle drift that is often found on other navigation systems. The moving map display always shows the vehicle icon centered in the viewing area thereby continuously displaying the map in the same direction as travel and the vehicle location exactly where it is at the moment. Because of the continuous positioning and display functions, the user sees no map paging or location update steps. This unique feature means that the display follows the vehicle wherever it travels, even in off road or off-vector situations at Real time. The usual "bleep and jerk" of the Nav arrow as in other Systems World wide, will not be found here. Furthermore, the UNS Navi is an Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) in it's own right and, from its operational experiences it "Self Learns," as to enhance the performance of the system and tailor it to suit your personal driving patterns.

UNS Infotainment provides a complete solution comprising 3G-UMTS/GPRS/GSM/SMS, FAX, WI-FI, Bluetooth communications, Internet, E-mail, Multimedia, general purpose computing and lots more. UNS provides the ultimate "user to device" voice & video communications, and you can use UNS to send a video clip via the Bluetooth of your mobile, to your friends' (UNS user's) Bluetooth mobile in another city. UNS Infotainment(TM) was designed with the driver & passengers in mind and offers a wide range of features that are combined in the user friendly, UNS Navi graphical interface. To interact with the system, users have the option of using the touch screen, voice commands, remote control or a wireless keyboard (optional. Multi user profiles can be set for different users and all personal data is kept in a fully secure environment).

Instead of the simple graphic maps found on most navigation only systems, UNS Infotainment uses information rich ortho corrected satellite images and/or high resolution aerial photography to provide a birds eye view of the current vehicle location and the route ahead.

To eliminate the need for data CD or DVD's, to enhance data retrieval and to maintain performance in rough terrain, the UNS system stores all of its data internally and on local flash memory. Traveled routes can be recorded and stored for playback or for monitoring purposes. You can share your recorded trips with other UNS users via Bluetooth video MMS.

You can create your own points of interest & route data and share them with your friends. You can use the "follow me" feature: to send a confidential position to other UNS user of your choice so that they can then use their UNS system to create a route to your location.

To enhance the delivery of information to the driver and/or passengers while in the navigation mode, UNS Infotainment provides driving directions in graphical, text, voice and picture in PIP modes. Points of interest tags are displayed on a proximity basis without clutter on the screen.

UNS Infotainment is among the few "if not the only Navigation System," which stores your preprogrammed navigation request and will "pick-up" from where you left off, even if you have interrupted your trip.

With the built in wireless 3G Lucent/Novatel U630, the system can be connected to the local telecommunications network with a user provided SIM card on either prepaid or post paid payment plans. Once connected, the user can take advantage of the UNS video call feature that provides for an in- vehicle camera connection to Universal's central monitoring center or to another video enabled UNS client. Universal will also provide an SOS feature (Free of Charge) that will support the UNS users when they require roadside emergency or other assistance including travel instructions. Universal provides a 24/7 live support service to the UNS customer community. Regular wireless updates of data and features will be provided (Free of Charge) through the Universal network, and from dealers and distributors.

UNS Infotainment(TM) will be rolled out to other GCC countries in the coming months. Plans are also underway for expansion to UK, Europe and North America market by early 2007.

UNS FMTS(TM) (Fleet Management Tracking and Surveillance) will soon be released by UNS Labs. FMTS(TM) provides an economical, real time tracking solution for fleet managers and for operations control rooms that benefit from being able to show the location of any vehicle on the multi screen display used for monitoring. In addition to the map location the control room operator can see the drivers view by using the UNS video call feature.

UNS Infotainment(TM) and FMTS(TM) are powered by UNS Labs unique navigation engine, featuring Real Time GPS based Positioning (within one inch of the actual vehicle position), Satellite Imagery provided by Space Imaging Middle East (SIME), Navigable Data from Transport HiTech Consultants of Dubai U.A.E. and 3G UMTS Technology from Lucent/Novatel (Novatel Merlin(TM) U630 3G PCMCIA Adapter).

Dubai based Universal USA LLC is launching both products for the first time to the world from the Middle East Market on September 28th 2006. The UAE was chosen for the first introduction because of its advanced high technology communications network and commercially available data.
