Tucker, GA, iPhone users across the country have decided to goPostal. They are taking photos and then, through goPostal and the United States Post Office, mailing personalized, souvenir postcards directly from their iPhones. "It's fast, it's easy and it's cheap" said George Coriaty of Whittier, CA. "I don't have to buy a postcard, I don't have to buy a stamp and I don't have to find a mailbox, yet for $1.29, which includes postage, I can send a postcard directly to my Dad from wherever I happen to be." The goPostal iPhone application is available free from Apple Inc.'s iPhone App store.
The goPostal personalized postcards stand out as a unique solution above any other application currently available for the iPhone. Physical, customized postcards can be delivered to anyone, regardless of whether they have an iPhone or even a computer. They stand out from email blasts or spam. They add a personal touch that websites cannot duplicate. goPostal postcards can be kept as mementos and even displayed on a refrigerator door.
Many goPostal users are coming up with unique ways of using the goPostal software. Businesses are using goPostal to maintain contact with their customers. Travelers overseas are able to use goPostal to mail their postcards to friends and family for much less than the cost of international postage.
