Stater Bros. Markets Promotes Two Executives to Key Management Positions

Jack H. Brown, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Stater Bros. Markets, announced today the promotions of George Frahm to the position of Executive Vice President of Retail Operations and Administration and Dennis McIntyre to the position of Executive Vice President of Marketing.

Frahm is a 35-year member of the Stater Bros. "Family" of Employees. He joined Stater Bros. in 1973 as a Courtesy Clerk and progressed through a range of retail store and district supervision positions. He was promoted to Director of Labor Relations in 1995 and to Vice President of Labor Relations in 1996. In 2001, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Administration, and in March 2006 he was promoted to Group Senior Vice President of Administration. In September 2006, Frahm was promoted to his most recent position of Group Senior Vice President of Retail Operations and Administration. Frahm has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, and is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) Food Industry Executive Program. He currently serves as Treasurer of the California Grocers Association (CGA) Board of Directors.

McIntyre is a 30-year member of the Stater Bros. "Family" of Employees. He joined Stater Bros. Markets in 1978 as a Courtesy Clerk and progressed through the ranks of retail store positions. In 1983, McIntyre was promoted to the position of Buyer in the Marketing Department. In 1994, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Marketing and in 1999 he was promoted to Vice President of Marketing. In 2000, McIntyre was promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing, and he was promoted to his most recent position of Group Senior Vice President of Marketing in 2002 in recognition of his leadership abilities and the increased responsibilities of his position. McIntyre is responsible for the Company's Grocery, Meat, Seafood, Produce, Floral, Bakery, Service Deli, HBC/GM and Pharmacy Divisions in addition to the Marketing, Merchandising and Food Safety/Quality Assurance Departments. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Western Association of Food Chains and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He also serves as the Operations Committee Co-Chair for Topco Associates LLC.
