Cerimon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and commercializing proven therapies by expanding market opportunities and indications through in-licensing late-stage or marketed drugs.  By leveraging the extensive development and commercialization capabilities of its highly experienced team, Cerimon is pursuing a novel risk-mitigated strategy to develop innovative therapeutics for patients with significant unmet medical needs. 

Key therapeutic areas include autoimmune disease, inflammation and pain.

The Company's lead products are a topical patch formulation of diclofenac sodium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) in Phase II/III clinical trails for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain, and Simulect® (basiliximab), a monoclonal antibody currently in Phase IIb clinical trials for the treatment of moderate-to-severe, steroid-refractory ulcerative colitis. In addition, Cerimon has obtained the rights to run a proof-of-concept study with Simulect for the treatment of noninfectious uveitis.

In October 2005, Cerimon completed a Series A financing of $70 million with MPM Capital, Nomura Phase4 Ventures and OrbiMed Advisors.
