July 18, 2013 – FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida – The Andean Sky God Website, originally created as an archeology site to demonstrate a strong connection between the Tiwanaku Empire and the Nazca Lines, has expanded in recent years to cover other historical mysteries. The latest investigation of Morten St. George, the site's founder, is now online and it concerns the world's most mysterious manuscript, a medieval document written in undecipherable code, in an unrecognizable alphabet, and in an unknown language.

The Voynich Manuscript, named after the Polish bookseller Wilfrid M. Voynich who acquired it 1912, has been dated via radiocarbon between A.D. 1404 and A.D. 1438, but little more is known about it. On the mystery of who wrote it, St. George notes that the manuscript depicts a castle with a cylindrical tower capped in a cone, similar to the fortress of Carcassonne in southern France. The Carcassonne fortress was a stronghold of Catharism, a religious heresy during the Middle Ages.

Reinforcing his belief that the Cathars wrote the Voynich Manuscript, St. George points out that the "astronomical" section could be depicting a council meeting of Cathar Perfecti, the lay clergy of the Cathar Church. Additionally, he finds that the "biological" section has drawings that would be representative of Cathar women performing consolamentum, a baptism-like ceremony which was the only sacrament of the Cathar Church.

On language, St. George compares the Voynich Manuscript with the Homilies d'Organya, a medieval manuscript in Old Catalan closely connected to the Occitan language spoken by the Cathars. St. George observes that three different types of accent marks are virtually identical in both documents, and he speculates that Voynich encoding only works with base letters, making it necessary to insert the accent marks manually.

On decoding, St. George finds grounds to suspect that the final section of the Voynich Manuscript is a transcription or translation of a known text, effectively providing cryptographers with a "Rosetta Stone." He opinions: "This might be the best chance for decoding the mysterious manuscript."
