London, United Kingdom (10th July, 2012) – CitySocialising, a website that allows people to make friends online and meet new people in their city, have launched their Discover London campaign to bring visitors and local Londoners together this summer.
The Discover series will bring visitors and local Londoners together to explore the social scene across North, West and South London, away from the expected mayhem of central and East London, and to make new international friends and connections in the process.
And those staying on beyond the games to visit the rest of the country can enjoy CitySocialising’s ‘Best of British’ range of activities that they’ll also be hosting during this period across eight other major cities in the UK, including Manchester, Brighton and Liverpool.
Activities range from visiting the best real ale pubs, the best places for Sunday roasts and afternoon tea in Londo,n to discovering beer gardens and picnic spots in famous areas like Wimbledon, Hampstead and Notting Hill. The activities will be a chance for visitors to the UK to experience London with real Londoners and enjoy an authentic British social experience during their stay.
CitySocialising CEO & founder Sanchita Saha commented: “In London alone we have 60,000 local members, each with a different story to tell and a different place that they’ve unearthed and want to share. This provides a great and unique opportunity for visitors coming over this summer to enjoy an authentic British experience with the people who know and love these areas best, and we’re offering this experience for free. The activities will be a great opportunity to get to know new local people and meet new British friends to socialise with while in town and hopefully to stay in touch with after they leave.”
CitySocialising organises over 160 activities a month for over 190, 000 members across the UK and are giving visitors this summer the chance to experience them with their members by registering at CitySocialising.com.
CitySocialising is the UK's leading socialising network for meeting new people, backed by PROfounders: the European VC fund set up by tech luminaries Brent Hoberman (Lastminute.com) and Michael Birch (Bebo.com). Pioneering the convergence of virtual and real world networking in the UK, CitySocialising enables young professionals to meet new people and new friends locally whilst exploring and enjoying their city’s social scene. Launched with R&D funding from the Princes Trust in 2007 with a site and service in London, the network has since developed a community of over 160,000 users, organising over 1000 socials a month across 50 cities in the UK; each overseen by a local Community Manager.
