England, November 9, 2011 -- Sherif Hamoudah to lead Acision's sales organisation as EVP Global Sales & Marketing Rob Bellis appointed to EVP Global Services
Acision, the global leaders in mobile messaging, today announced two new appointments to its executive team as strategic leads for sales, marketing and services globally. Sherif Hamoudah has been appointed to EVP, Global Sales & Marketing, and Rob Bellis will lead Acision's services organisation as EVP, Global Services - both moving from previously held senior positions from within the company. The new roles will enhance Acision's position as a trusted mobile messaging and services provider, cementing its status in the mobile ecosystem and boosting the overall quality of experience it delivers to its customers.
Jorgen Nilsson, CEO, Acision commented: 'It gives me great pleasure to announce these appointments to Acision's executive team. Having success in the business already, both Sherif and Rob will be instrumental in driving Acision's global business forward, mobilising new services as well developing key dialogue and relationships with our customers, at both operators and enterprises. This will enable Acision to strengthen its focus on its global customer base and ensure we remain relevant to their business needs and aspirations by delivering connectivity, revenue, excellence and simplicity across mobile services as our industry evolves. "Sherif Hamoudah will be taking responsibility for Acision's global sales and marketing functions to develop new business opportunities and create synergies across Acision's sales regions to drive strategic growth initiatives, as well as build awareness of Acision's brand and position in the mobile messaging and services market. Sherif has more than 23 years experience in sales and marketing, working with mobile operators across the Middle East Africa and Pakistan (MEAP), including roles with Oracle's Telecommunications, Transport & Media Industries division where he helped define Oracle's strategy for the telecoms industry across EMEA. Sherif will continue to head up the MEAP region until a successor is appointed. Commenting on his appointment, Sherif said: "Having led the expansion of a fast developing region, I'm thrilled to be given the opportunity to take the lessons learned and further develop Acision's global sales capability and engagement, ensuring we are delivering premium quality messaging solutions to operators and enterprises around the world. This will be key to Acision as we capitalise on opportunities across the mobile data services ecosystem, while ensuring the business remains relevant in today's rapidly evolving market. In particular, this is important as we start to deliver messaging services on- demand to operators from Acision's Cloud. "Rob Bellis will be leading the global services organisation and will be responsible for improving operational efficiencies and services dynamics to create a more aligned sales, product and services coalition. Prior to Acision, Rob had an impressive track record in supply chain and procurement, delivering support and services. While at Hutchinson 3G, Rob led and closed the first 3G unified messaging platform deal from CMG.
Rob said: "I am very pleased to accept the opportunity to lead Acision's global services team, utilising my previous commercial experience in refining support and services for international companies. I will be responsible for delivering optimum customer service and maximising Acision's operating efficiencies, to enable us to build a customer services and support organisation we can be proud of."
