Air Hogs To Fly High at First Ever Red Bull Air Race in New York City

Spin Master Ltd. is proud to announce that Air Hogs, the world's leading R/C brand, is sponsoring the first ever Red Bull Air Race in New York City, taking place Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20. For the occasion, Air Hogs has signed on to sponsor 26 year old Canadian flying sensation Pete McLeod, the youngest pilot to compete in the weekend's races.

This fifth leg of the 2010 World Championship tour will take place for the first time in New York over the Hudson River at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. In close cooperation with host city partners NYC & Company, Jersey City, NJ and Liberty State Park, the Manhattan skyline and brilliant Liberty State Park landmarks will serve as remarkable backdrops for 300 million TV viewers in 87 countries worldwide.

About Pete McLeod:

Pete McLeod is the youngest pilot and only Canadian to ever compete in the Red Bull Air Race making his debut in 2009 at 25 years of age. Pete grew up flying float planes in northern Canada and took his first flight when he was 6 weeks old. He obtained his pilot's licence at 16 years of age, before earning his driver's licence.
