Allied Systems Holdings, Inc. Extends Outsourcing Contract with IBM

IBM (NYSE: IBM) and Allied Systems Holdings, Inc., a leader in providing solutions and services for the North American automotive industry, today announced they have renewed and expanded their outsourcing contract for five additional years. This agreement provides a strategic updated platform of the Allied environment, allowing Allied to migrate to high performance servers and expand automation at their remote terminals to enhance overall competitiveness in the market.

Allied selected IBM for the extended agreement based on its high-quality service, industry expertise and cost effectiveness. IBM will leverage its global leadership in application management and infrastructure management solutions to support Allied's operations and business improvement initiatives.

"IBM has been a very flexible partner and has allowed us to take out cost and improve performance simultaneously."

The new agreement was signed in May 2009 and follows the original contract which commenced April, 2001.
