It's written in stone: Italbec U.S. retains TransMedia Group to show the world what the construction and design industries have known for years -- Italbec's customized design, procurement and installation of unique stone turns architecture into art. Italbec U.S.'s most recent masterpiece is the $14.5 million natural stone and ceramic design at the W Hotel in South Beach, which will be unveiled in June 2009.

"In today's environment, you need an edge, you need to pay attention to details; Italbec has done just that at the W Hotel South Beach," said Brad Meltzer, President of KM/Plaza Construction Services, a major South Florida-based construction management firm credited with luxury projects in Miami like the W Hotel Resort and Residences, The Marquis and Canyon Ranch Living. "Excellent craftsmanship is what we can expect from Italbec -- along with excellent customer service."

Vice President Rick Watson, a renowned architect and interior designer, will be at the helm of Italbec's next project -- a major renovation of the Four Seasons guest rooms in Palm Beach, Florida. Watson's list of acclaimed projects includes 17 Ritz-Carlton Hotels, including those in St. Thomas, San Juan and Naples, Florida; The Palace in Tel Aviv, Israel, as well as The Palace in Weston, Florida.

"We selected TransMedia Group because it's an eclectic publicity firm with a business to business approach. Italbec has long been a 'quiet giant' and we now want to call out our unique abilities -- like our ability to bond into the millions and our niche areas like academic institutions, luxury spas and medical facilities," said Jill Poser, Director of Business Development for Italbec U.S.

Italbec U.S. has direct access to stone quarries in Europe, China, Italy and Canada. Known for their complex custom-built projects, Italbec has also completed high-end residential projects, including a recent $1.2 million stone design in a 40,000 sq ft Barbados home.

"Italbec U.S. is more than a stone supplier because they provide real solution for their customers," said Tom Madden, founder of TransMedia Group. "We are very much looking forward to "Romancing the Stone."

TransMedia Group, based in Boca Raton, is one of Florida's largest independent PR firms serving clients worldwide since 1981.
