Retalix(R) Ltd. (Nasdaq: RTLX), a global provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for food retailers and distributors, announced today the General Availability version (GA) of the Retalix InSync(TM) Master Data Management solution (MDM).

Retalix InSync Master Data Management (MDM) is a central repository for all the master data that is used in the planning and execution of business processes in the retail and distribution industries, including items, business units, trading partners, trading agreements, costs and taxes. MDM serves as an integration accelerator, offering data synchronization services, workflow-based data staging facilities, data import and export framework and more. Using the Retalix InSync MDM, retailers and distributors can rely on a single data model to support existing and future applications, thus creating a "single version of the truth" throughout the organization. While tailored for the unique requirements of the grocery and food service industries, Retalix InSync MDM can support other retail operations as well.

Retalix InSync MDM is being deployed in five food retail and distribution environments. Some customers will be using Retalix InSync MDM to connect existing applications to new Retalix solutions, while others are deploying it as the base for a broader implementation of Retalix InSync solution portfolio.

"Integration and synchronization of data across the enterprise has always been a major challenge for retailers and distributors," said Barry Shaked, President and CEO of Retalix Ltd. "Using Retalix InSync MDM, all the applications share the same database, same data management logic and same look-and-feel. The synchronized Business Model and Logic define an accurate single version of the truth, allowing the whole enterprise to operate efficiently and enabling our customers to realize the full benefits of their investment in modernizing their IT systems."

Retalix InSync is a state-of-the-art, web-based portfolio of synchronized software applications, especially designed and developed to meet the requirements of retailers and distributors in the grocery and foodservice industries. Retalix InSync is the combined result of the extensive industry expertise and experience accumulated during more than 20 years by the seasoned professionals from Retalix and the companies it acquired -- OMI International, Integrated Distribution Solutions ("IDS") and TCI Solutions, Inc. Retalix InSync is built around Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the applications are developed using the industry standard Java (J2EE) technology. Retalix InSync runs on virtually any hardware and operating system that is compatible with Java technology -- Unix, Windows, Linux, IBM Mainframe and IBM iSeries. The Retalix InSync applications use standard application servers and can operate with any of the leading relational databases used in the market. These cross-platform and interoperability capabilities allow Retalix's existing and new customers to protect their investment in hardware and infrastructure software.
