CVS/pharmacy today announced that they will serve as the National Premier Sponsor of the 2006 Easter Seals Walk With Me events to help children with disabilities. The national sponsorship is part of the newly created signature program CVS All Kids Can, a five-year, $25 million commitment by the CVS/pharmacy Charitable Trust and CVS/pharmacy to support children with disabilities. Easter Seals is a primary nonprofit partner of the CVS All Kids Can program.

Held in more than 50 cities across the United States, Walk With Me unites thousands of participants in the common cause of helping individuals with disabilities. All funds raised benefit Easter Seals and allow children with disabilities to receive the medical rehabilitation and physical therapy they need to succeed in life.

As part of CVS' support of the Walks, thousands of CVS associates will lead walking teams across the country, inviting their communities to join them in fundraising to put hope within reach of children with disabilities.

Since 1998, CVS/pharmacy has raised more than $500,000 to support Easter Seals. Now, through their National Premier Sponsorship of Walk With Me and CVS All Kids Can grants presented to Easter Seals affiliates across the nation, CVS will be able to expand their partnership and impact, making a difference in the lives of still more children with disabilities.

"For eight years, CVS has been a critical Easter Seals partner. Now, as a national partner in the CVS All Kids Can Program, we look forward to working with the CVS/pharmacy Charitable Trust and CVS/pharmacy to expand our innovative offerings and further impact the lives of children with disabilities," said James E. Williams, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Easter Seals.

Through sponsorship of Walk With Me and the broader CVS All Kids Can program, CVS/pharmacy is committed to making life easier for children with disabilities. CVS' selection of Easter Seals as a national partner in CVS All Kids Can promises support which assures the continued availability of Easter Seals services to children with disabilities.

"Together, Easter Seals and CVS will make a significant impact in the lives of children with disabilities throughout the country, providing them with the resources and services they need to learn, play and succeed in life," said Eileen Howard Dunn, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Community Relations for CVS/pharmacy.

As the National Premiere Sponsor of Walk With Me, CVS invites its associates, friends, families and customers to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities through support of Easter Seals.
