For immediate release as at Tuesday 2nd September 2008

West End therapists are giving free treatments for the Big Build Appeal, in aid of a new Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow. All beauty and holistic therapies at the Caledonian Therapy Academy are free to all customers every Friday between 11am and 3pm, in return for a donation to the Big Build.

Owner & Manager Louise Prunty said "We're all too aware of the invaluable service that the Marie Curie Hospice offers. My late grandmother, aunt & my mum's best friend were all cared for by the wonderful staff at the Marie Curie Hospice in Springburn, so when I read about the Big Build Appeal in a newsletter I wanted the Caledonian Therapy Academy to be involved."

The salon offers Scotland's largest variety of beauty courses and Louise has high ambitions for them all, she said "both tutors and students will be involved in the fundraising and I hope we exceed our target of £1,000 for the Big Build."

Donations can be made at www.justgiving.com/ctacademy and for appointments call Caledonian Therapy Academy on 0845 257 0178 or pop into the salon at lower ground 1037 Sauchiehall St or visit www.bigbuild.org.uk for further information.
