Organizers have announced that GamerDays, the World-Class Video Tournament & Festival will start today going through Sunday, September 21 at California Lutheran University 's Gilbert Sports Arena in Thousand Oaks, CA with expected attendance over 10,000-15,000 over the course of the weekend. GamerDays will feature video tournaments, video game and computer exhibitors with free console play and live bands in a festival atmosphere with proceeds going to charity!

Hosted tournaments will include: Halo 3, Rock Band & Guitar Hero with the finals for Rock Band and Guitar Hero on Saturday night with a concert feel in the Gilbert Arena. Bands include local sensation Midnite Theory, Tony Avalon's music school Rock Nation, and live from the Cat Club on the Sunset Strip, Eric Dover! All bands will be featuring Guitar Hero & Rock Band covers as well as some of their own music.

The Guitar Hero grand prize winner will "open" for Eric Dover on Sunday afternoon, playing a Guitar Hero song on the live stage with a videogame console while we blend Eric's live band into the mix, eventually taking over the song! The festival continues outside the Exhibit Hall with vendors offering food, drink & other products.

Major sponsors include: THQ, Activision, EA's Rockband, WizardWorldConventions, JAKKSPacific, and HopeLab's exciting videogame, Remission, for juvenile cancer patients where patients play in a graphical human body fighting cancer cells. The game lasts as long as a chemo session, helping the patient through this difficult time.

GamerDays is the only event of its kind from Santa Barbara through the northern LA Valley; a great weekend with proceeds going to charity for education.

GamerDays is open to the public. General admission is $10 for adult, $8 for students & $4 for children under 4 years. For More information: http://www.gamerdays.net or Call:
