Mario's, the leading Northwest retailer of luxury brand fashion, announced today the opening of Mario's 3.10, a new store concept with a focused edit that will emphasize the casual side of luxury. President Mario Bisio said Mario's 3.10 will open in September at Bridgeport Village, ten miles south of Portland.

"We're delighted by this opportunity to explore the playful side of our brand and share it with everyone," Bisio said. "A lot of people know Mario's as the experts in the Northwest for designer and special occasion clothing, when in fact we have always loved cool, casual designer sportswear as well. Mario's 3.10 gives us the opportunity to really express that part of our passion."

Mario's 3.10 will offer the keen eye for detail and passion for great design that have made Mario's one of the industry's most respected style editors. The only difference from the existing stores is the point of emphasis. The focus will be sportswear and playful style, including a selection of denim without peer.

Mario's 3.10 is a mix of classic European refinement and American grit. Denim, which Bisio refers to as "the great equalizer" because of its ability to make people of all ages look and feel stylish and relaxed, will be a notable focus on the floor. Expect hard-to-find brands and exclusive denim washes, thanks to the excellent reputation that Mario's has built throughout the fashion community. Mario's 3.10 also will offer apothecary (personal care), jewelry, and a selection of hard-to-find, timely and well-chosen compact discs and books.

Additionally, customers are invited to meet an on-floor tailor located adjacent to the denim area. The tailor shop will be appointed with a custom copper-plated industrial sewing machine and a leather work top. While shopping, customers can watch and ask questions as a tailor hems denim, shortens belts, and more.

The forthcoming Mario's 3.10 store will be 6,000 square feet of space created by Randy Higgins of edo, one of the Northwest's leading designers. A variety of other regional artisans, including furniture maven Bill Fritts of Intelligent Design, has been engaged to help craft the store environment into a completely immersive experience of exquisite design.

Find Mario's Portland at 833 SW Broadway; Mario's Seattle at 1513 Sixth Avenue; and Mario's 3.10 at Bridgeport Village.
