For 10 years, Cincinnati-based singer songwriter Katie Reider, age 29, has inspired the hearts of thousands with her music and genuine personality. Today she inspires action from within. Fans across the country are banding together to help Katie during her ongoing battle with a rare MYOFIBROBLASTIC INFLAMMATION TUMOR.

Entirely Web-based, this project is being initiated with Katie Reider's loyal fans from around the country. On May 23, 2008, this benefit will have one clear-cut goal in mind: to introduce 500,000 people within 365-Days to Katie Reider via http://www.500Kin365.org.

Since 1998, Katie Reider has been recognized by the local and national recording industry. The Cincinnati native, who now resides outside of New York City, has performed with several national and international touring artists, including Catie Curtis, Melissa Ferrick, Anne Heaton, Michelle Malone, Over the Rhine, Antigone Rising, Ember Swift, Edie Carey, Teddy Goldstein and many more. Just as she was reaching the peak of her career in January of 2006, Katie was struck by a rare disease that first appeared in her sinus and eventually progressed into a tumor in her skull base behind her left eye. In March of 2008 another dime-sized "spot" was found on her esophagus behind her heart.

Katie might not be able to sing, but she is coming with the best she has to offer right now, which is her story. 500Kin365.org will feature a documentary trailer that will capture the true essence of singer songwriter Katie Reider on stage and in life. Visitors to the site will then have an opportunity to access a digital compilation of 9 original songs written and performed by Katie Reider over the past 10 years, in exchange for a $1.00 donation to the cause. The project will not only give insight into the physical, emotional, and financial burdens Katie continues to face, but it will give Katie a chance to sing and perform for new fans all over the world. Over the next year, 500Kin365.org will be fueled solely via the Web. We ask that every visitor who logs on, pay it forward and link one other person they know to the Website. 100% of the proceeds will go to The Katie Reider 365-Day Web-Based Benefit Fund.

This innovative endeavor is being created and produced by Lauren Fernandes, of Three Chapeau Productions, with well-known Hollywood Casting Director and Producer Heidi Levitt in Los Angeles, CA. Lauren is a long-time friend and fan, who met Katie Reider well before Katie was diagnosed with her illness two years ago.

"I've always admired Katie's character. She is true genuine talent with the ability to move people from within with her vocal storytelling. Katie has star-quality that ignites on stage, and she directly connects to the people she is performing for on a personal level. In return, I want to tell Katie's story using the Web, because it is the best way to connect as many people as possible to her over the next year."

This Web-based benefit is also being produced alongside Clarinda Morales of Inspiral Productions, based in Los Angeles, CA.

"I teamed up with Three Chapeau, because I believe in this movement Katie Reider has inspired, without ever having met her. This project reflects the main objective within Inspiral Productions. We are creating something that will inspire others to become a PART OF Katie's story."

The launch of 500Kin365.org on May 23rd, 2008, will also mark the official launch of InspiralProductions.com.

More than just a benefit, more than just a tribute to Katie's music, this Website is a labor of love being fueled by Katie's loyal and supportive fan base, which will expand worldwide over the next year. Although the project has not yet officially launched, it is already changing the life of Katie Reider and her family from within. In a recent conversation between Katie and Lauren, Katie exclaimed, "What you are doing for me and my family is amazing; know that we are grateful and in awe."

Lauren's reply to her expression of gratitude: "Katie, it goes both ways. And I'm not doing much -- it's YOU."
