ResQdraw(TM) -- a new command-and- rescue GPS screen-drawing function providing instant, two-way visual communication between command centers and field personnel -- has just been incorporated into LifeRing(TM) mobile collaboration Common Operational Picture (COP) software from Advanced Ground Information Systems (AGIS).

LifeRing is the first mobile online group collaboration command-and- control system to use standard, over-the-counter, low-cost Microsoft- compatible PCs, tablets, laptops and PDA cell phones. The company is investigating making the system compatible also with Linux and Java operating systems.

Current LifeRing Location Based Services-LBS users may upgrade and get ResQdraw software free at http://www.agisinc.com.

New users may download LifeRing software free for 90 days also at http://www.agisinc.com.

ResQdraw is the newest feature of LifeRing's powerful SuperCOP-Common Operational Picture(TM) capabilities, currently being used by the US Navy and Coast Guard.

"First-responders, fire, police, and military commanders now get an instant visual picture showing danger spots to avoid, or areas where teams must converge to concentrate their efforts-with color-coding to differentiate safe areas from danger zones. ResQdraw allows any LBS-Location Based Services social-networking participant to visually communicate 'telestrator'-style with all others," says Cap Beyer, Chairman, Advanced Ground Information Systems (AGIS), LifeRing's developer.

LifeRing "takes commanders out of the command center and into the field to achieve superior field control," Mr. Beyer says. "ResQdraw raises LifeRing's Common Operational Picture capabilities significantly-allowing field personnel to communicate instantaneously between each other and with the command center," he said.

Automatically exchanging position and status information, LifeRing allows users to enter geo-referenced points, including highway accidents, fires, friendly and hostile force locations, and fallen comrades so that all on the network share a real time COP . LifeRing then allows users to rapidly exchange voice, text, photos, video clips-and now live map-drawing to enhance tactical control," he says.

LifeRing combines cellular-equipped PCs or PDA cell phones, GPS and IP communications to enable first responders, military and others to coordinate their activities while on the move.

"LifeRing," Mr. Beyer says, "is the PDA that special agent Jack Bauer wishes he has."
