The VIII Investors Forum held on August 29, 2007 and organized by the Panama Stock Exchange met all the expectations, with more than 500 investors, executives and government officials sharing ideas and experiences about the Panamanian market.
The CEO of the Exchange, Roberto Brenes, mentioned that the Panamanian market offers excellent investment opportunities through local companies that list their fixed and variable income with a prominent and transparent financial exercise that adds high value to the companies. Florentina Vergara, Financial Manager of AES Panama, S.A., said it was a rich experience being in the stock market with the most valuable Corporate Bonds issued at the Panamanian Exchange of US$300 millions, which will let them promote and expand their investment projects. Victor Espinosa, from Union Nacional de Empresas, whose company has its stocks listed on the Panamanian Exchange and is well known in the building sector, indicated that the Forum let them show the audience their investment projects, business and goals for attaining investor trust with the best interest rate of the market instruments. Banco Delta, S.A., a financial institution that offers financial services for micro and macro companies, and Compania Inmobiliaria San Felipe, a real estate company in charge of the Casco Antiguo restoration, expressed their interest in listing on the exchange. Copa Airlines also talked about its activities as a hub of the Americas from Tocumen International Airport, and being the most developed airline in Latin America.
