Verizon Wireless to Hire 45 New Customer Service Professionals in Connecticut

Verizon Wireless, the leading wireless company with the most reliable voice and data network, is planning to hire 45 new customer service professionals in its Meriden office. On Tuesday, June 26, the company will host a "Meet and Greet" informational session from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm at the company's Continuity Marketing Contact Center, located at 599 Research Parkway in Meriden.

Tuesday's attendees will have the opportunity to meet with company representatives and learn more about the Meriden contact center. Verizon Wireless' philosophy is to hire qualified candidates who are interested in starting a career with a company that provides opportunities for growth and advancement. The event is intended to provide prospective applicants with information on current job openings and responsibilities, the company's corporate culture and compensation and benefits packages. Interviews will not be conducted at the Tuesday event. However, interested applicants are encouraged to bring their resumes.

We look for organizational skills, good judgment, and a strong desire to provide a great customer experience," said Laurie Severino, Verizon Wireless Associate Director of Human Resources. "Bilingual individuals are especially encouraged to apply."

New employees will take on-the-job training classes, with the first session of classes beginning in August. Paid training lasts for seven weeks, with the goal of each customer service representative receiving six to eight hours of additional training every month. The continuous focus on training and customer satisfaction helps prepare these employees to provide Verizon Wireless customers with exceptional service.
