Estemerwalt Log Homes is Exclusive Log Provider for Germany's Snow Dome Resort Hotel

HONESDALE, Pa., August 10, 2011 -- Estemerwalt Log Homes has announced they are the exclusive log provider and builder for the Snow Dome Resort Hotel in Bispingen, Germany. Located just south of Hamburg, the Snow Dome Resort Hotel will be the first log cabin hotel in Germany. Estemerwalt Log Homes has already exported the fifteen log packages to the resort location where they are currently being constructed. The anticipated opening is October 1, 2011.

"The Snow Dome in Bispingen, Germany is an exceptional place," says Kurt Propst, owner of Estemerwalt Log Homes. "We've done extensive work throughout Europe over the years, and we're thrilled to be a part of this project." The Snow Dome is an indoor skiing, snowboarding and ice climbing center, which also features the longest toboggan run in northern Germany. Additionally, the Snow Dome property also offers non-winter sports, including the largest standing wave in Europe, a skateboarding park as well as an electric park for Seqways, electric skateboards and electric bikes.

The Snow Dome Resort Hotel is adjacent to the Snow Dome, making it an ideal retreat for families, company groups and professional organizations. Estemerwalt Log Homes supplied all the log components. Jorn Ravn, European representative for Estemerwalt Log Homes says, "The Snow Dome Resort Hotel tried to find a log supplier for over a year – they were looking for someone who could meet their expectation and prices. They'd looked locally, in Poland and Russia as well, but were unable to find a company they felt could deliver the quality material and do a complete dry-in within a relatively short timespan. Their architect connected with our architect, and Estemerwalt Log Homes was able to deliver exceptional quality materials, supply the construction team and outstanding workmanship. It was – and is – a perfect fit."

The fifteen log cabins manufactured by Estemerwalt Log Homes complement the Snow Dome Resort Hotel's landscape, and will provide a natural, yet modern setting for guests. Each cabin is a made of 12" diameter milled logs for uniformity and is extraordinarily efficient. Each log home style cabin will be decorated with a personal touch, and will feature modern and minimalist decor and furnishings. The cabins will be outfitted with two bedrooms, a living room with cathedral ceilings, an office, digital TV and additional sleeping accommodations for two (for a total of eight people per cabin). Heating will be via wood stoves and powered with renewable energy.
