The idea of reincarnation is prevalent in faiths around the world and is an eye-opening possibility about life after death. For Dean Cochran Gross, reaching a conclusion about this idea took many years of outward and inward scrutiny. In his new book, "You Will Live Forever Since We're All Parts of God" (now available through AuthorHouse), he offers a highly researched guide to dozens of aspects of reincarnation.
Gross' search for religious faith led him to contemplate reincarnation, and after years of searching, he came to the realization that reincarnation makes sense. After significant tragedies befell him, such as the untimely deaths of his father and brothers, as well as several near-death experiences, he believed there was something more to the afterlife than eternity in heaven. This prompted him to begin looking for scholars' views on reincarnation and its presence in other belief systems.
In "You Will Live Forever Since We're All Parts of God," he addresses many of the questions and ideas surrounding reincarnation. In nearly 60 chapters and with more than 220 cited sources, Gross' book includes the knowledge of thinkers, who range from famous poets to scientists throughout history. "You Will Live Forever Since We're All Parts of God" is an overview of reincarnation, an instructive and convincing commentary that includes a discussion of comparative religion and psychic phenomena. Gross illustrates how everything from prayer and meditation to sex and birthmarks are connected to reincarnation in this detailed book.

Gross served in World War II and later studied singing for 12 years. He sang in numerous churches and performed such works as Handel's "Messiah." He later became a librarian and worked in many Pennsylvania county libraries. He was state librarian of Kansas and director of the Norfolk, Virginia Public Library. He lives with his wife in Virginia Beach, Va.
