Gray Television Commits to Rentrak for Local Television Measurement

Rentrak Corporation (Nasdaq: RENT), the leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the advertising and entertainment industries, today announced Gray Television, a broadcast company which operates multiple television stations serving numerous markets, signed a contract for local market measurement for ABC-affiliate KAKE in Wichita, Kansas and CBS-affiliate WIBW in Topeka, Kansas. With the signing of this major television group, Rentrak now has four Wichita stations subscribing to its leading ratings data and measurement services, and the addition of the Topeka market increases Rentrak's client roster to 36 stations in 18 local TV markets.
"Rentrak is excited to begin working with Gray Television and we are most pleased to increase our TV station count in the Wichita market as well as adding WIBW/Topeka to our roster of client stations," said Steven Walsh, Rentrak's Senior Vice President, Local Market Sales. "Gray Television will now have a distinct competitive advantage by using the StationView Essentials service in order to sell not only the size of their audiences, but also the level of viewer engagement."
Rentrak's StationView Essentials service features the largest, most comprehensive set-top box (STB) database representing satellite, telco and cable TV. Rentrak also combines segmentation and customer databases with the TV viewing information to generate far more relevant "purchaser ratings" for its clients.
