The National Coalition for Capital Honors the 2009 Champion of Small Business Award Winners

The National Coalition for Capital has announced the winners of its 2009 "Champion of Small Business" Awards. Recognized for their ongoing efforts to promote economic development, the 2009 winners were honored at the National Coalition for Capital Annual Awards Ceremony and Dinner on July 21st at The Capital Grille restaurant in Philadelphia. The awards dinner took place during the National Conference of State Legislatures, which is also being held in Philadelphia this week.
"The National Coalition for Capital advocates innovative access to capital policies that enable the growth of small businesses," said Ben Dupuy, executive director of the National Coalition for Capital. "The individuals honored with these Champion awards are true economic development visionaries who have worked tirelessly to encourage significant investment and create good jobs in underserved communities in their states."
This is the second year the National Coalition for Capital has hosted an awards ceremony acknowledging individuals for taking a leadership role in supporting economic development initiatives designed to encourage the growth of emerging businesses.
The following elected officials and community leaders were honored as "2009 Champions of Small Business":
