ReneSola Ltd ("ReneSola" or the "Company") (NYSE: SOL) (AIM: SOLA), a leading global manufacturer of solar wafers, today announced that it has successfully commenced trial production on the first batch of polysilicon from Phase 1 of its two-phase, 3,000 metric tonne ("MT") annualized capacity polysilicon manufacturing facility located in China's Sichuan province.

ReneSola's two-phase, 3,000 MT annualized capacity polysilicon manufacturing facility utilizes the Siemens process and a closed loop system to produce polysilicon. Phase 2 of the facility, representing approximately 1,500 MT annualized capacity, is scheduled to reach mechanical completion in September 2009.
