XM Satellite Radio, the nation’s leading satellite radio company with more than seven million subscribers, has signed a multi-year deal with Andretti Green Racing (AGR) to be a major associate sponsor of the race car driven by IndyCar Series superstar Danica Patrick.

Patrick is one of the best-known and most popular figures in professional sports today. Winner of the Rookie of The Year trophy at her first Indianapolis 500 in 2005, Patrick has become an international sensation, appearing on magazine covers from Sports Illustrated to TV Guide.

2007 will mark Patrick’s first year as a member of the Andretti Green team, which is owned by Michael Andretti, Kim Green and Kevin Savoree, and is the winningest team in Indy Racing League (IRL) history. The major sponsor of Patrick’s AGR vehicle is Motorola, which joined with XM and other team sponsors today in Chicago for the grand unveiling of Patrick’s new race car.

As the official satellite radio network of the IRL, XM broadcasts every IndyCar Series race live and nationwide. Under the agreement with AGR, the XM logo will appear on Patrick’s race car and fire suit, and XM has marketing rights for Patrick’s image and likeness.

XM will announce further plans with AGR in the coming weeks.
